Chapter 1, The Beginning
We are deep down inside a cave somewhere in the inner recesses
of Africa. It is thinly lit and so damp that moisture clings in droplets to the
mysteriously shaped walls. The ground is strewn with loose rocks and brightly
colored feathers of all descriptions and various indescribable odors linger
throughout the cave. Echoes of ancient drums appear in the imagination.
I know you're probably thinking that this is a strange place to start a book on
becoming more successful, but this is or once was the home of a voodoo
witch and could very well be, where these techniques began.
Voodoo witches or whatever you call them are in their own right "Master Closers".
They understand how to make things happen in other peoples minds. So much so, they
can cause miracle cures and even death. Before we move on, let's get out of this cave, we
need to concentrate and these drums are driving me crazy!
There, that's better, now to carry this further, my father was a doctor and during
the first world war he was the first to experiment on curing shell shock cases using
hypnosis. I remember as a child watching while he put a patient under hypnosis
telling him that he was going to touch him with a burning cigarette. Instead he
touched him with a pencil eraser and the patient actually raised a burn blister.
At the time I didn't understand, but now I realize that the mind is the most
powerful thing in the world. For example locked up in a woman's mind is the
knowledge to create human life and not even the greatest doctors and surgeons
in the world can do that. In our brain lies all the knowledge to run our body
and even effect cures.
If we could only tap all that great power and put it to good use. The voodoo witch
unknowingly used some of those great powers as others have down through the ages.
Just what is this "mysterious power"?
There is no mystery to it, they are simply
"Master Closer's" and this book is designed to make you just that. Also in this book
you will find everything else needed to become successful. It will help you become
or have anything in life that you want. You will get the closing skills,
the motivation and the goal setting techniques.

Often in my life I have set goals, some I achieved and some I

One of the most profound things I ever learned, came from a story
about a wise old king who in ancient times had a successful and happy kingdom.
He wanted to leave all his wisdom for future generations so they would be happy
and prosper too.
He called all his wise men together and asked them to write
down all the wisdom of the ages for future generations to read and learn from.
They went away and returned one year later with twelve volumes. The king read them
all, called his wise men back and said "Gentlemen, you have done a fine job and this
is truly the wisdom of the ages, but it is too long and people won't read it."
The king sent them away again to condense it. Soon they came back with one volume,
the king read it and said "Again you have done a fine job but it is still too long."
They finally condensed it into a chapter, then to a paragraph and finally to one
sentence.
He read this one sentence and thanked the wise men saying, "Yes gentlemen, this is
truly the wisdom of the ages!" Do you know what that one sentence said? It simply said
"THERE AIN'T NO FREE LUNCH" and there ain't! YOU CAN'T STAND IN FRONT OF A
FIREPLACE AND SAY "GIVE ME HEAT AND I WILL GIVE YOU FUEL." It is against the law
of God and against the law of nature!
For many years I thought I was the luckiest salesman in the world, I had a
thirty year closing average of 87% and in the past ten years, it has increased to 97%.
It took me almost twenty years to realize that there is no such thing as luck.
In my dictionary, the definition of luck is "preparation followed by opportunity."
Think back over your life and see how often opportunity knocked at your door and
you were not prepared. You will soon learn that you already have the opportunity
and now you will get the preparation.
Closing is relatively easy to learn.
For the uninitiated, closing is simply asking for something and getting someone to
say yes when they want to say no. For the first time in any book, you will learn
what the other person is really thinking and what their actual reaction is mentally
when you are using your "Master Closing" skills. Almost everything I ever read about
closing leaves out these most important and vital things.
What the prospect is
thinking and what makes the close work. In order to become a "Master Closer" you
must know the answer to these questions. Once you know what is going on in the
prospects mind, you can invent or create new closes on the spot to cover any
situation.
